Meet Dr. Daniel Torba

I will never forget the day I moved to Monterey. In August 2018, I could not have been more excited to make this extraordinary place my home. I had never been on a surfboard before, but there is something truly magical about catching your first wave on Monterey Bay.

Even more meaningful has been the opportunity to meet and grow alongside so many wonderful people—both in the community and through my work with Montage and the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.

Monterey has always held a special place in my family’s story. My parents met here in the 1970s while serving as linguists at the Defense Language Institute, and I now understand why they always wanted to return. There truly is no place like Monterey.

While my outpatient practice is evolving, my commitment to this community remains the same. I look forward to many more years of caring for you through this new, more personal model of care.

See you at the beach 🤙
